Vashti Ortego is a transfeminist from the beautiful islands of Visayas, Philippines. She serves as the global to local advocacy officer at IWRAW Asia Pacific, where she works to ensure that the rights of grassroots women—especially marginalized and gender-diverse people—affirmed under CEDAW and other international human rights mechanisms are fully realized in practice.
