لويس بيكفورد هو مسؤول البرامج في مؤسسة فورد، وله أكثر من 20 عاماً من الخبرة في العمل في المجال العالمي لحقوق الإنسان. قبل انضمامه إلى مؤسسة فورد في عام 2012، خدم في فريق القيادة التنفيذية في مركز روبرت كينيدي للعدالة وحقوق الإنسان، و كان مديراً في المركز الدولي للعدالة الانتقالية (ICTJ) لما يقرب من العشر سنوات. وهو حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه من جامعة ماكجيل ودرجة الماجستير من كلية نيو سكول وكلاهما في العلوم السياسية.
