Maia Borchardt is a program coordinator at the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where she facilitates programmatic operations for a vibrant hub for social justice research, teaching, and advocacy. Maia graduated with an MA in human rights studies from Columbia University in 2025. She received the Graduate Faculty Choice prize at Columbia’s 2026 Human Rights Thesis Competition for her research on the human rights economy.
