Sonja Meijer is a graduate student at American University's School of International Service in Washington, DC, where she is completing an MA in ethics, peace, and human rights. Her work draws on a background in philosophy, including undergraduate research on Hannah Arendt. She is American-Dutch and grew up on the French border with Geneva, Switzerland.
