Helle Abelvik-Lawson is the human rights project officer at the Human Rights Consortium, School of Advanced Study, University of London. She has degrees from Oxford University and the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, and has been the communications coordinator for the Amnesty International UK's Children’s Human Rights Network for over five years. Her research centers around business and human rights issues, and the environment and indigenous peoples' rights, particularly in Brazil and Latin America more widely.
