Marcia V. J. Kran is a member of the UN Human Rights Committee (2017 - 2024) and was the Director of Research at the UN human rights office in Geneva, head of policy and programmes at the UNDP regional centre for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, and Democratic Governance team leader at the UNDP regional centre for Europe and the Commonweath of Independent States in Bratislava.
